Built on Visible Thinking, an observation-based practice developed at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, the NJAS School Edition gives any facilitator the tools to lead a confident, meaningful session from day one.

The system moves participants through four progressive units: Notice builds strong observational skills; Wonder develops the habit of asking meaningful questions; Remember connects new observations to prior experience; Measure introduces patterns and change over time. Each unit carries its own flag, placemat, and facilitator guide, keeping the progression visible, consistent, and interchangeable for indoor or outdoor activities, year-round.

Designed for Programs, Not Just Classrooms
Thirteen interchangeable tools. Twelve guided activities. One system that works equally well in a school garden, an after-school enrichment classroom, a nature center, or a botanical garden. A found object from a morning nature walk works just as well at an indoor table as a flag planted in the garden outside or hung on a wall, so programs with limited outdoor access never lose a session.
