Native Walk and  Talk Field Trip | Grades 3+ 

Cost $50-100 dependant on time and activity.

Locations and topics can very. This is an example of our environmental education field trips offered in naturals spaces from Stanislaus to Sacramento counties.


Join us for a fall native plant walk and seed talk through the     La Loma Native Plant Garden. We will discuss the amazing adaptations plants have made to adjust to changing environmental factors like drought or rising temperatures and how they affect seeds. We will learn about native plants going to seed, learn techniques for harvest and preservation, and sort seeds for storage into envelopes to save for future planting seasons. Must be registered to participate. This class has a 6 student minimum.


Families with adult supervision are welcome to join the walk and talk portion of the workshop. Please wear appropriate clothing and shoes as this is an outdoor activity. No bathrooms are available on site.
